About the Founder & Author
Roundup News was founded by Liam McKenzie, a New Zealand-based journalist and digital content creator. Liam is also the lead author and editor of all content published on the platform.
Liam was born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand. From a young age, he developed a strong interest in storytelling and current affairs. He was always curious about how news shapes society and influences people’s understanding of the world.
After completing his studies in journalism and digital media in Auckland, Liam worked with several online news platforms. During his professional journey, he gained experience in reporting, editing, and digital publishing. However, he also noticed a major gap in the media industry — many news platforms were either too complex or not focused on everyday readers.
This inspired him to create his own platform, where news could be presented in a simple, fast, and trustworthy way. In 2024, he launched Roundup News with the goal of making news more accessible for all New Zealanders.
As the main author, Liam writes, edits, and reviews most of the content published on the website. He ensures that every article meets high standards of clarity and accuracy. He believes that journalism should inform people without confusion or unnecessary noise.
